MTC training is really tiring!

MTC training is really tiring

Alright everyone so week 2 is over! Wow time is already flying by! The days feel like they move so slowly, but when I look at how long I have already been here it is amazing! OK so for starters, on Sunday I got dysentery. For anyone who doesn't know what that is it is really, really bad diarrhea. Like wow! I felt so sick for a good two days. It was a struggle ha ha. But that is OK! I am feeling a little better thanks to my mom packing me some Imodium!

We went to the temple today and it was awesome once again! The temple is very small but at the same time is so beautiful! I honestly think everyone should just fly to Ghana to come and see it for themselves:)

 Just cuz, why not???

This is my district at the temple

So on Halloween people were going around and knocking on doors and asking for candy:p the Africans loved the idea and there were a ton of them going along with it ha ha it was great!

So when I came here my mom sent me with 2 big bags of hi chews! If you have seen these before you know how long they should last one person! Well..... One bag is already empty.. He he... The people in my district found out and they always took some ha ha. But I ate the majority of them by myself:) I am saving the other one for when I leave so that way I can have them to myself:)

So one of the guys in my district lives in west haven just on 12th street in Ogden. He was telling me about being a ski instructor at Nordic valley! That is officially the job I am going to have when i get home!:)

Last thing! My district leader is from Idaho and he is so funny. He is such a cowboy at heart. All the Americans in my district have made a plan that we are going to all build our houses out of shipping containers because they are cheap and easy to move! We we are thinking of stacking them to make multiple stories and such! So future wife, we are officially living in a shipping container out in my friends backyard in Idaho ;p

I love you all so very much! Serving a mission is one of the greatest things I can ever do! I miss you all so much and I can feel your love and support!

Playing on rocks and dirt for soccer makes things a little interesting! :p

We got to leave the training center so we could go and get our non-citizen pass. I found a chair and decided to take a break because it is so stinking hot.

So we have to be in missionary attire to email and get food so I decided that I would just wear my joggers and sandals, and I never even got in trouble:)

Love,
Elder Baird

(Landon also told us that he won't have a p-day next week because he leaves the MTC on Tuesday. He hopes that he will get to quickly email and let us know that he got to his first area.)

This is from him as well:

"I raced a couple more times and kept winning! I am learning how to really listen to the spirit on how to teach which is awesome! And, I will be ready! I will be out of here on next Tuesday! So only 5 days! And, no, I haven't yet ha ha (taken pictures of his food for Mom). And, my soccer skills don't compare to the Africans ha ha, but I'm doing OK."
