Hey Everyone! 1 Week down! 103 to go!

1.) Ghana temple is beautiful:)

So where do I even start! I guess I will just tell you guys everything! So leaving was not easy, haha. Seeing everyone crying was super hard, I was holding strong until I hugged my cousin Porter which he usually doesn't. But while he was hugging me he told me he was going to miss me a ton. I thought I could hold it in but I looked at my dad and pretty much just lost it, because he had so many tears. But the worst was hugging my mom for the last time. I just want to say that my mom has been one of the greatest examples to me from the beginning. I love you mom!

Ok, so, walking to the terminal took a minute, but once I got down there I found all the other missionaries going to the Ghana MTC! We counted 35 just in Salt Lake! So we had about a 7 hour flight to Amsterdam. Once there we got there we found about 15 more missionaries and we all flew to Ghana together.

2.) Elder Howell and me on the plane

That was super fun! I got to sit by an Elder Howell from Ogden! Well Ogden-ish, haha. But we sat with each other both flights and we are even roommates! Once we got to Ghana and left the airport there was like over 300 people surrounding the doors and were asking for money. People kept trying to help me with my stuff so I would pay them. It took a while to get to the cars but once we did we drove to the MTC which was about 10 minutes away. No one, and I mean no one, follows the rules when driving... Motorcycles drive into head on traffic, red lights are a nightmare because no one stops, cars drive on the sidewalks, it is nuts! But it is still cool! The food is definitely very interesting! They have given us some really easy stuff to eat at first but as the days go by the food gets crazier! Last night was a fish head and fish tail, and that was weird!

3.) This is our district

Everyday we have classes and devotionals so it's really busy, but we get an hour break to play sports! Now that is so stinking awesome! Soccer is fun with the Africans because they all play and and they all know how to play really well! A couple of days ago I had a kid ask if I wanted to race him and his companion who is an African. I obliged cuz I wanted to race someone so bad. The race was about 100 meters and I easily won! So now I have Africans all telling me that I'm way fast and want to race me! I haven't lost yet! But yesterday my companion said he ran track in Nigeria and was one of the fastest there and said since I'm white he will beat me easily. Well long story short he lost by a lot:) Man I love it here!

4.) I cut my knee on the first day of soccer haha, the field is a little grassy but mainly just dirt and rocks

Ok! So the last thing, Elder BEDNAR came and dedicated the MTC!!!!! Like HOLY COW!! That was so stinking cool!!!!!!! The talk he gave made me feel the spirit so strong! I love it here so much! And I love you all! I will talk to you next week!!!!
