First words from Ghana...

I received his first email from Ghana! Happy day:

Hey mom! I just arrived to Ghana! It is a very different place! But I can already tell you that I absolutely love it here! Almost instantly people were already asking for money haha and apparently a bunch of elders gave them money. I was good and didn't:) So this is really all I can do because we don't have much time! Oh! Real quick! So I sat with an Elder Howell on both flights and he is awesome! And he's from Ogden so that is good! He was able to give a man a Book Of Mormon on the plane! I didn't see this happen because I apparently was asleep:P But yeah that was way cool! I love you all so very much!

I don't have time to read your email or Brendon's so I will respond to them when I can!

Love you!
Elder Baird

Then I received two wonderful pictures from the mission secretary, Sister Glanfield. Thank you Sister Glanfield! She said,

Hello Brother and Sister Baird,
I was helping at the MTC with their intake of 160+ new missionaries this morning, and look who I saw!
The elder he is with is his MTC companion.
 Enjoy!  😊

Then bonus, I got one more short letter:

Hey! So this is just really quick I only have a minute but thank you so much for your email. It made me really happy to read it just barely cuz it just put a smile on my face:) I did find cafe rio but I wasn't hungry at all haha so I got a Jamba Juice instead! I love you! And could you please send an email to everyone that wanted to get my weekly emails and just tell them I'm doing good? Thank you for everything! Oh! And don't forget to put the names I sent to you on that list and to update the ones from facebook! And keep an eye out for me on the Facebook page because one of the couples that server in Accra will be posting one of me and my companion:)

Elder Baird

Last update, I received this from a Sister Jones from the MTC:

"Kristina Baird I met your son briefly on Friday at the MTC. He is a fine and funny young man. We look forward to him coming into the mission."

Can't wait to hear what he has to say next! :)
