This week was pretty normal, until the end... 9-9-2019




To start the week we had the usual visiting and finding. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday I was on an exchange with two different Elders so that was an exciting and busy time. I want to share some  things that happened.

The first one was on Friday night, I was making my dinner. I had just after bought all of the things for my meal. The last thing I needed to do to make it was to add the eggs. I put the first two eggs in and then on the last egg, I opened it and it poured into my food. Well, the egg was purple inside. It had apparently rotted super bad and it ruined my entire meal. I was so mad because I just bought everything. Well, I decided I would take a picture and that I would show it to the lady who I bought my food from. I wanted to get my money back and probably make her feel bad. 

Well, as I went to show her what had happened, I felt extremely bad. I realized that it wasn't her fault so why did I have to get angry at her? So I decided to just let it go and not ask for the money back. In  that moment I felt really good because I realized that I didn't need to get anything back. As I told this story to my mom she reminded me about how it relates to the Atonement of Christ. Christ suffered for us. I caused his suffering because of my mistakes, and he never asked for anything in return except to love Him and repent. SO, it was a lesson to me to be like the Savior and to accept that no one is perfect and mistakes happen.

I'm sorry this is all I can write because I only had a few minutes at the computer today. I have more stories I will put in my letter next week!

So this is my mission family so far, ha ha. Elder Nybo on the far left trained Elder Sebuliba who was my trainer and Elder Sebuliba trained Elder Khanga and I. Elder Nybo goes home this week. He is also from Kaysville. :) So I will see him in 20 months! How is everyone doing?? I hope everyone is doing good at home! I am doing great over here!! SO this last week was pretty interesting. I will start with the really cool part. We are teaching a lady and her name is Mabel. She owns a shop that just sells sodas and other stuff like that. We met her the first day that I was here in Akatsi. After we met her, she went and traveled, then she got sick and lots of other stuff happened so we stopped seeing her for a bit. We are now teaching her a bunch and it's going really well. We taught her the Plan of Salvation this week. Let me just say, that was super cool because the whole time she was so involved. Merry Christmas yesterday and Happy New Year!

My Mission President gave me some steaks to grill while staying in the mission home. :)  I have to say, I made them nice! :) Well hello everyone!!  I hope you all had a good Christmas because I sure did! I got to talk to my wonderful family! I will be honest though, it's not easy saying goodbye to them. You don't realize how much you miss your family until you have to leave them for 2 years. This is a time to be with family everyone and keep them close to you because when we pass on, they are the ones we are going to be with forever. First African tie :) This last week was pretty rough though ha ha. I was in the mission home all week from Monday until Saturday. I was doing tests in the hospital because they thought there were some issues in my heart. Well, after all the tests they found that nothing was wrong with it so thank goodness for that! So I am doing OK!  ....and my second African tie. :) I might come home with a lot of these ha ha! ...
