This week was pretty normal, until the end... 9-9-2019
To start the week we had the usual visiting and finding.
On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday I was on an exchange with two different Elders
so that was an exciting and busy time. I want to share some things that happened.
The first one was on Friday night, I was making my dinner. I had just after bought all of the things for my meal. The last thing I needed to do to make it was to add the eggs. I put the first two eggs in and then on the last egg, I opened it and it poured into my food. Well, the egg was purple inside. It had apparently rotted super bad and it ruined my entire meal. I was so mad because I just bought everything. Well, I decided I would take a picture and that I would show it to the lady who I bought my food from. I wanted to get my money back and probably make her feel bad.
Well, as I went to show her what had happened, I felt extremely
bad. I realized that it wasn't her fault so why did I have to get angry at her?
So I decided to just let it go and not ask for the money back. In that
moment I felt really good because I realized that I didn't need to get
anything back. As I told this story to my mom she reminded me about how it
relates to the Atonement of Christ. Christ suffered for us. I caused his
suffering because of my mistakes, and he never asked for anything in return
except to love Him and repent. SO, it was a lesson to me to be like the Savior and to accept
that no one is perfect and mistakes happen.
I'm sorry this is all I can write because I only had a few minutes at the computer today. I have more stories I will put in my letter next week!
Sincerely,
Elder Baird
