Busy, busy week!!!! 7-15-2019

These kids were trying to tie me up and they were just playing with us, ha ha!

Well as far as proselytizing this week, we weren't able to do very much. We had to do a lot of administrative stuff with other missionaries, which took up most of our time this past week.

On Wednesday, we had transfers which took up the entire day. We started a new method of doing transfers where we send the missionary in a taxi straight to their area. That requires a lot of coordination with other missionaries, especially because we are sending missionaries across the mission, with no cell phone. So that was a fun day!

On Thursday, we had to go to the stake center to do a finding activity for new investigators. Our stake president is starting a new program where he is allowing non-members to use the chapel for things like weddings or any other program. Our job is to be there to oversee it, but to also use it as an opportunity to invite people to learn more about the church.  It's a really good idea, because it gives us more opportunities to meet new people, who don't know anything about the church. Then later that night, we had a zone meeting to discuss the needs and concerns of the mission. It went super well! We got a few new missionaries to our zone and I am super excited to see how things go this next transfer!

On Saturday, we had an Elder go to the hospital because he had a severe allergic reaction while weeding at someone's house. So we had to go and pay the bills for him and make sure he was all right. Just know that he is perfectly fine now, ha ha.

Meeting Elder Warr in the hospital.

I am having internet issues and I am afraid that it might go out for good so I can't write much more. . But real quick, I gave a talk on Sunday about how we can become tools in the Lord's hands. My main focus for the talk was highlighting the difference between being honorable and valiant as members of the church. If we are valiant members than we are fulfilling our calls and we are consecrating our efforts to our Savior and Heavenly Father. So I encourage each of you to consecrate your efforts to the Lord and fulfill your callings valiantly!

I love you all and I hope you have a wonderful week!

Sincerely,
Elder Baird
