Transfers 6-3-2019
Saying my official goodbye.
This past week was transfers! I officially had to
say goodbye to Elder Jones on Wednesday, which was quite sad, as usual, but it's
all good. It's will be okay though, I will see him in exactly four months today. :) Man, time
is going by way too fast!
My new companion is from Eagle Mountain, Utah and he is one
transfer ahead of me on mission, so I will have one more companion before I go
home, ha ha! But that is okay! I love Elder Smith so much. We get along
really well and we are both excited to work!
This past week was quite stressful when it came to
proselytizing, because I had to go and see a chiropractor to fix my hip, plus my
companion had to get his retainer fixed at the orthodontist. That made it so we only had one
full day of proselytizing. That was on Saturday, ha ha.
I got silly stringed before Jones left, ha ha!
One really cool thing happened
on Saturday night. A member had referred us to a girl and her sister and
we went to go and teach them at the end of the day. It saved our
entire week because we were able to teach five new people, which was more than we
had the whole week! The lesson went really well and I was really impressed with
their desire to learn.
We also went to go and teach the Parker family (who we have
been teaching for a while now) and the first thing they asked me was,
"When are you going to baptize us?? We are sick of waiting!" Let me
just say, that is the greatest thing to hear from an investigator because it
truly shows you the desire they have to become baptized. Which also means that they have been
touched by the Spirit. It is only the Spirit that can convert people to the church and it
is the coolest thing to see them become converted.
Zone activity on the beach.
That's it for this last week, but this next week
will definitely be more exciting
Sincerely,
Elder Baird
