A bit of a sad day today... 5-27-2019

To start off my letter, I am letting you all know it is the end of my companions mission today. To be honest, it is not easy to say goodbye to your companion who you have known your entire mission and who has been an influence of good. Elder Jones, you will be missed! 

We had the chance today, to get together with all of his mission friends and we played games and ate pizza and we had a good chance to say goodbye to everyone, so things went really well. :)

This last week we had some cool opportunities as well! On Friday, we had the amazing opportunity to listen to Elder Christofferson from the Quorum of the twelve apostles! HE was accompanied by Gerald Causse the presiding bishop, the Africa west area presidency, and Elder Vincent from the presidency of the seventy. Let me just say that, we were all very spiritually uplifted! They all were speaking about how we need to be confident in teaching the restored gospel using the Book of Mormon and we are able to call down the powers of heaven in order to perform miracles. I really, really loved it and shaking his hand was even better. I really had my testimony strengthened by his testimony of the divinity of Christ. We truly have prophets alive on this earth today leading us and directing us for the second coming of Jesus Christ.

I really don't have much else to say due to the fact that we were going up and down meeting with people and what not so I'm sorry for such a short letter! But just know that I love you all and I hope that you have a great week!

Hats are nice to have (with Elder Sebuliba) Alright everyone, I am 1 month down. It's kind of crazy to think it's been this fast! I love it here so much! Ok so this week has been insane. We got our new companions and our areas of service on Wednesday. I was assigned to open a new area called Akati. No missionary has set foot there and most people haven't seen a white man so they all are saying "Yevoo yevoo!" (means white man in Ewe, there native tongue). So to get there we had to go take the local transport system called Trotro's. A trotro is a big van that civilians just drive and are trying to get cash. It's insane. So we found a trotro at a trotro station going to a place near our mission. So we got in the trotro and waited an hour for it to fill up. We were pretty much cooking in it haha. Then we started our 5 hour drive to go to Aflou. We stayed there with two Elders so we could go to Dzodze in the morning. ( It's pronounced Joe-J...

Busy, busy work week here!

This is one of the missionaries in our apartment. His name is Elder Wehyee from Liberia. We came back and found him like this yesterday, ha ha. Man this last week was probably one of the busiest weeks we have had so far! We had so many lessons to go to this week it was insane! People were actually wanting us to come and see them, so much so, that they were actually calling us! Happy Mother's Day!!!

This little girl is so adorable, ha ha! May 14th, 2018 I know that Mother's day was yesterday but anyone who reads this I just want you to know how amazing all of our Mothers are! I mean they give birth to some of the biggest knuckle-heads *cough *cough...me, ha ha. But seriously though, you Mom's are absolutely amazing! You have raised us in the church our entire lives and taught us everything we need to know in order to follow our Savior the best we can. I love reading the story of the 2,000 stripling warriors because they specifically say that their mothers taught them to be faithful and to remember the Lord always. Just as you have all done. I love you all and just want to thank you for giving all of your children your time and devotion to raise us in this world today.
