Hello! Efoa?? (How are you in Ewe)

So this is my mission family so far, ha ha. Elder Nybo on the far left trained Elder Sebuliba who was my trainer and Elder Sebuliba trained Elder Khanga and I. Elder Nybo goes home this week. He is also from Kaysville. :) So I will see him in 20 months! How is everyone doing?? I hope everyone is doing good at home! I am doing great over here!! SO this last week was pretty interesting. I will start with the really cool part. We are teaching a lady and her name is Mabel. She owns a shop that just sells sodas and other stuff like that. We met her the first day that I was here in Akatsi. After we met her, she went and traveled, then she got sick and lots of other stuff happened so we stopped seeing her for a bit. We are now teaching her a bunch and it's going really well. We taught her the Plan of Salvation this week. Let me just say, that was super cool because the whole time she was so involved. Merry Christmas yesterday and Happy New Year!

My Mission President gave me some steaks to grill while staying in the mission home. :)  I have to say, I made them nice! :) Well hello everyone!!  I hope you all had a good Christmas because I sure did! I got to talk to my wonderful family! I will be honest though, it's not easy saying goodbye to them. You don't realize how much you miss your family until you have to leave them for 2 years. This is a time to be with family everyone and keep them close to you because when we pass on, they are the ones we are going to be with forever. First African tie :) This last week was pretty rough though ha ha. I was in the mission home all week from Monday until Saturday. I was doing tests in the hospital because they thought there were some issues in my heart. Well, after all the tests they found that nothing was wrong with it so thank goodness for that! So I am doing OK!  ....and my second African tie. :) I might come home with a lot of these ha ha! ...

A bit of a sad day today... 5-27-2019

Ghana Accra Mission - May 2019 - thanks to Sister Keyes! (Elder Baird is on the  far left sitting on the wall - I think...) To start off my letter, I am letting you all know it is the end of my companions mission today. To be honest, it is not easy to say goodbye to your companion who you have known your entire mission and who has been an influence of good. Elder Jones, you will be missed!  We had the chance today, to get together with all of his mission friends and we played games and ate pizza and we had a good chance to say goodbye to everyone, so things went really well. :) This last week we had some cool opportunities as well! On Friday, we had the amazing opportunity to listen to Elder Christofferson from the Quorum of the twelve apostles! HE was accompanied by Gerald Causse the presiding bishop, the Africa west area presidency, and Elder Vincent from the presidency of the seventy.
