Christmas Eve 12-24-2018


Mom's notes:

1. No letter this week because we got our wonderful phone call. He is doing well! I do have pictures that Ally and Devin Despain took. They visited with him on Christmas Eve and took him to lunch. They also brought him a suitcase full of gifts from us.













2. He sent a pretty sweet letter to Kamdon that I thought that I would share:

You know Kamdon I want to give you a challenge. Tonight, before you fall asleep, say a little prayer on your own. I want you to ask Heavenly Father if you can feel a little bit of grandma's presence. How does that sound? I want to also tell you another thing. You know how we see Santa Claus on Christmas Eve and how he sets out all the presents? I want you to think of it as grandma bringing you gifts from heaven. I am sure mom will explain it a little better to you. But just know that grandma is there with you. She is protecting and guiding you. Those are blessings and we know blessings are gifts from heaven. So don't forget to pray tonight and ask for that okay? (Mom, don't forget to remind him ha ha. :))

Man you know that when I get home all three of us are going to have to sleep in my bed together? I hope that the three of us will fit!

4. For Christmas day this is what he said that he will be doing, "Open presents, see some missionaries at district council, go to a members and eat cake, and then go to the Bishops house for a party and then call you guys. :)

5. He thinks that Justin and Mikayla's yard signs of the nativity and the Grinch are, "brilliant!"

Hats are nice to have (with Elder Sebuliba) Alright everyone, I am 1 month down. It's kind of crazy to think it's been this fast! I love it here so much! Ok so this week has been insane. We got our new companions and our areas of service on Wednesday. I was assigned to open a new area called Akati. No missionary has set foot there and most people haven't seen a white man so they all are saying "Yevoo yevoo!" (means white man in Ewe, there native tongue). So to get there we had to go take the local transport system called Trotro's. A trotro is a big van that civilians just drive and are trying to get cash. It's insane. So we found a trotro at a trotro station going to a place near our mission. So we got in the trotro and waited an hour for it to fill up. We were pretty much cooking in it haha. Busy, busy work week here!

This is one of the missionaries in our apartment. His name is Elder Wehyee from Liberia. We came back and found him like this yesterday, ha ha. Man this last week was probably one of the busiest weeks we have had so far! We had so many lessons to go to this week it was insane! People were actually wanting us to come and see them, so much so, that they were actually calling us! Happy Mother's Day!!!

This little girl is so adorable, ha ha! May 14th, 2018 I know that Mother's day was yesterday but anyone who reads this I just want you to know how amazing all of our Mothers are! I mean they give birth to some of the biggest knuckle-heads *cough *cough...me, ha ha. But seriously though, you Mom's are absolutely amazing! You have raised us in the church our entire lives and taught us everything we need to know in order to follow our Savior the best we can. I love reading the story of the 2,000 stripling warriors because they specifically say that their mothers taught them to be faithful and to remember the Lord always. Just as you have all done. I love you all and just want to thank you for giving all of your children your time and devotion to raise us in this world today. For funerals in Akatsi they get a bunch guys together on motorcycles and just drive around honking their horns for ever, ha ha. Well now I will talk about how much I am going to miss Akatsi. I h...
