I don't know where to start for this past week! 11-26-2018

Isata before her baptism. :)

We had a baptism! We baptized Isata and it was such a wonderful experience! The coolest part about her baptism was the day before her interview. I went over to her house to review some of the interview questions with her the night before her interview. I felt inspired to ask her this question, "Why are you joining this church? So many other churches are claiming to be true, so why did you choose this one?" She said with no hesitation,  "I didn't choose this church. God directed me to join this church through the influence of other people."

Let me just say, the spirit was definitely there. She is such a wonderful person and I am so excited for her choice to follow Christ and join his true church. :)

We had to clean the baptismal font on Saturday. The drain pipe was buried in
dirt so we had to dig it out...AND DON'T LAUGH AT HOW WHITE MY

COMPARED TO MY ARMS..... #ghanaishot

ON Thursday, I got to do an exchange with Elder Jones my Zone Leader. IT was a blast! But something really cool happened. While we were planning in the morning, we were going to see a member and we were trying to decide what to teach her. Well, I felt inspired to teach her about the temple and the importance of it. While we were there, we were talking about temples. She started to ask questions and then more questions and it turned into her telling us some things that were very important for her to share. I won't go in detail, but let me just say, we were inspired to teach her that lesson. Then the spirit softened her heart so she could be totally honest with us. She was able to seek guidance from us. I was shocked that it was the exact lesson we needed to teach. After we left, Elder Jones looked at me and said, "That was definitely one of the most spiritual lessons I have ever had on mission." How right he is! :)

District council and pizza (Sister Kankonde, Elder Tollestrup, Elder Matakaiongo,
?, Elder Eliason and Elder Jones).

Do you guys remember Anna? She was the girl who we brought to church a few weeks ago. Well she travelled to Kumasi to visit her mother. She came back on Saturday and she was so excited to go to church again! After church, she came to me and said this, "Elder Baird, when you are done with the baptism come to my house I have something I need to tell you." I will be honest, I was scared, ha ha. But when we got to her house she just said this, "Elders, when am I getting baptized? I just want to be a full member and start progressing in the church." I was so shocked! I looked at my companion and just about cried! We just baptized someone and then a new person just popped up out of nowhere! This girl is so amazing and is already ready to be baptized. :)

Elder Eliason forgot his scriptures and keys in the chapel and our bishop locked
them in the chapel so we got creative on getting it out, ha ha.

Enjoying the AC after cleaning the font, ha ha.

Elder Eliason thinks it's funny how the goats just sit around everywhere. SO he took a picture
and I made a joke that he was the goat watcher. Then I decided to take a picture of the
 great goat watcher in action.

I would say a lot more but I am using the bad keyboard again so typing is a struggle. But let me just tell you all, the spirit will guide us in all that we do. We just need to make sure we are listening to have Him guide us. :)

Sincerely,
Elder Baird

Enjoying some songs by a rasta man at the beach today.

Mom's notes:

1. He played Spike ball at the beach today. I asked who was the best at it. He said, "Uhhh that's a good question. I am the most consistent but some other people can do some crazy stuff."

2. That's all the Mom's notes for this week. I hope that he gets a better keyboard next time!
