Today marks 2 months!

This one is just funny. The little girl holding my arm is the cutest little thing ever.
She just holds my hand and sits there. It's adorable!

Man! Two months ago today I left my home, my family, and my snow, to serve the Lord. To be honest, these 2 months have gone by extremely fast and it is kind of scary to see how fast time flies when you are serving the Lord.

It was time to get some sun glasses.

Well this last week was a pretty good one! We got to teach a lot of really good and really spiritual lessons. But, I think one of the crowning moments was being able to get another investigator to come to church with us! It is not easy to pay the money to travel to church on Sunday, as I have already probably said before. It's a 30 or so minute drive. We have been inviting her for a long time now. But when we asked her this last week, she said that she had a strong feeling that she should go. So she came and she loved it! It was such a blessing to see here there! If she comes the next 2 weeks we will be able to add her as our 2nd baptism scheduled for New Years Eve! The Lord is blessing us and I can't wait for more blessings like this that I will receive!

Here are some of my new friends:) They love my hair ha ha.
They always want to mess it up and try to do it.

This week I made some new friends. :) You will get to see some pictures of them! They are the kids who live by Sister Norkblym (FYI I said her name was Nocblyn but it's actually Norkblym). They love me! I just dance with them, draw stuff in the dirt, and I practice karate with them. Man it is a blast! It's just hard having a white shirt that seems to be a magnet for anything that is not white. :p

It's hard to see, but there are dirt streaks down my shirt.
Missionary work in Ghana is dirty. But it is so worth it.

So now for the spiritual stuff. The past few weeks I have been getting sick and have had to go to the hospital about 4 times. Nothing was getting better. On Saturday I was in a lot of pain and just broke down in tears because I just didn't know what to do. My companion sat next to me on my bed and put his hand on my shoulder and asked "Elder Baird, would you like to have a blessing" I obliged. The blessing he gave was honestly so powerful. I am not completely healed, but I have felt peace and definite progress in my recovery. The priesthood is real. It is truly the power of God! So never be afraid to use it when you need it.

They love my camera. They always want me to be taking pictures!

I love you all so much! Thank you for your love and support!!!!

Opening Christmas early. :)

Oh!  I forgot to tell my two funny experiences. The first one, a drunk man kissed my hand and was telling me how amazing I was for being white, ha ha. Second, today while waiting in the trotro a preacher sat in the door preaching (well his preaching was more yelling and saying praise Jesus). He did it for like an hour and then asked for money for his preaching, ha ha. Man it was weird.

Sincerely,
Elder Baird

Notes:

Elder Baird is getting a scope tomorrow. Hopefully, they find out a way to help him soon. The medicine has stopped the pain for now. :)

He also said, "Oh! I forgot to mention! The nerf guns are so much fun:) I had a war with the Dzodze elders ha ha. The tree is amazing. Who made the money shirt?" (He loved the money shirt - It was Justin (his-brother-in-law) who made it.

He misses the snow and told Kamdon that he will build him a big igloo when he gets home.

He gets to do a Facebook video call on Christmas and we have 5 hour window when it will be. The internet is sketchy so if it isn't working he will head to a different town to make it work.
