MY LAST EMAIL..... 9-30-2019

Well I will just start off by telling all of you that this had been some of the best two years of my entire life. It was full of hardships, trials, but also a lot of joy and happiness came from it. The time here really wasn't long enough. We all say that good things must come to an end. This ending really was hard for me to experience. This past week has been a mix of so many emotions as I have made preparations for returning home. Even though I have been doing that, we were still able to find some success throughout the week.   Yesterday I had the amazing opportunity to participate in the confirmation of Sister Janice whom we baptized last week. To make the day even better, I had two of the girls from Batsonaa that I baptized come to church to see me give my last talk and testimony in Ghana. As I was giving my talk, I was overwhelmed with such love and  appreciation for all the people I have met and served here. I didn't cry, but I would be lying if I said I wasn...

Janice's Baptism! Well, we finally were able to have a baptism! It has been such a long time, ha ha ha, but we finally got it! We baptized Janice Parker. Let me just say, it was an amazing experience. On Saturday night she asked me to be the one to baptize her. So on Sunday, we had the baptismal service right after church. It went amazing and we had so many members come and support her. It was very spiritual and it really was amazing. After the baptism, I found Janice crying. First off, she was sad because her parents didn't want to come to her baptism and she was also sad because her mother was going to an activity. Her Mom left Janice because the baptism took too long. I felt so bad and I was worried that she would be upset with the church and other stuff. Well after church, in the evening, we went to see her and she was just smiling from ear to ear. I asked her, "Why are you so happy??" and she said, "Because after I was baptized I just felt relieve...

Temple, exchange and car wash! 9-2-2019

Temple Trip  This last week was quite the experience! As you can see from the title, I had three main things happen. First, we went to the temple, on Thursday, with everyone that I came on mission with. We went because they are closing the temple for maintenance, so we all got together for our last session together. It was a truly wonderful experience and it's amazing to think that almost two years ago was the last time we were all together at the temple. This was when we were in the MTC together. Time really flies by! To make the day even better, Sister Norkplim came to the temple specifically to meet with me before I left to go home (Sister Norkplim is the first women I baptized when I came on my mission). She stayed at the temple site for three days doing just temple work. She called me today to tell me how amazing it was to attend the temple for three days and how she learned so much. I am blessed to have met her and and see her progress in the gospel so quickly. ...

This email will be a bit better than last week, ha ha! 9-16-2019

Pictures I took while talking on Google Hangout's. This is Elder Baird's companion, Elder  This past week was a little more eventful than the week before, ha ha. So let's start from Wednesday! On Wednesday evening, I started an exchange with Elder Chrysler in his area which is called Santoe. I can honestly say that was one of my best exchanges that I have ever been on. But it was probably a little different from what you would think. We started the day off normal by just planning and filling up all of our time with a lot of lessons. We began with one lesson which went very well. Then we went back to the house for lunch, I played Bananagrams for the first time (and won, he he...) and then went back out for our next appointments. Well, the first one fell through, then the second and then the third. Then the next appointment we had was in an area that Elder Chrysler did not know very well so we began just biking for about two hours before we found the area.  ...

This week was pretty normal, until the end... 9-9-2019

To start the week we had the usual visiting and finding. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday I was on an exchange with two different Elders so that was an exciting and busy time. I want to share some  things that happened. The first one was on Friday night, I was making my dinner. I had just after bought all of the things for my meal. The last thing I needed to do to make it was to add the eggs. I put the first two eggs in and then on the last egg, I opened it and it poured into my food. Well, the egg was purple inside. It had apparently rotted super bad and it ruined my entire meal. I was so mad because I just bought everything. Well, I decided I would take a picture and that I would show it to the lady who I bought my food from. I wanted to get my money back and probably make her feel bad.  Well, as I went to show her what had happened, I felt extremely bad. I realized that it wasn't her fault so why did I have to get angry at her? So I decided to just let it ...
