Another week in the work! 7-30-2019


Well this past week was busy as usual. TO be honest nothing really spectacular happened. We had a lot of let downs. Basically, all of the people we were teaching that we had planned to baptize next month have fallen through. It's really quite hard to find these people and to love and desire their salvation but to have them not progress. But, it is okay. Life wasn't made to be easy. That's how we become stronger individuals! 

Some cool things did end up happening! Last week on Tuesday, we taught a girl by the name of Dina. She is awesome! She had some super inspired questions about why there is so much confusion when it comes to Christianity. She said to us, "I just want to know why we don't have one church." Well that is a perfect question to ask! So as we taught her she was very excited and read the assignments we gave her so when we came back on Friday and Saturday she had more questions. She loved learning and especially about the BOM. She really is a blessing that we had this last week.

Then on Sunday, we were walking to go and meet a member and on our way a man called us over and said, "Which church do you attend and where is it?" We told him and then he said, "I am looking for the true gospel so I am testing out different churches to find the truth because I feel people are changing the truth." WE sat down with him and boldly told him we have the truth! SO we scheduled an appointment for the next day and he was there waiting for us to ask his questions on where the true church is. I am feeling very blessed that we found him because I was really needing the help to find investigators. Well, the Lord put him in our path for us to teach!

Hats are nice to have (with Elder Sebuliba) Alright everyone, I am 1 month down. It's kind of crazy to think it's been this fast! I love it here so much! Ok so this week has been insane. We got our new companions and our areas of service on Wednesday. I was assigned to open a new area called Akati. No missionary has set foot there and most people haven't seen a white man so they all are saying "Yevoo yevoo!" (means white man in Ewe, there native tongue). So to get there we had to go take the local transport system called Trotro's. A trotro is a big van that civilians just drive and are trying to get cash. It's insane. So we found a trotro at a trotro station going to a place near our mission. So we got in the trotro and waited an hour for it to fill up. We were pretty much cooking in it haha. Busy, busy work week here!

This is one of the missionaries in our apartment. His name is Elder Wehyee from Liberia. We came back and found him like this yesterday, ha ha. Man this last week was probably one of the busiest weeks we have had so far! We had so many lessons to go to this week it was insane! People were actually wanting us to come and see them, so much so, that they were actually calling us! Happy Mother's Day!!!

This little girl is so adorable, ha ha! May 14th, 2018 I know that Mother's day was yesterday but anyone who reads this I just want you to know how amazing all of our Mothers are! I mean they give birth to some of the biggest knuckle-heads *cough *cough...me, ha ha. But seriously though, you Mom's are absolutely amazing! You have raised us in the church our entire lives and taught us everything we need to know in order to follow our Savior the best we can. I love reading the story of the 2,000 stripling warriors because they specifically say that their mothers taught them to be faithful and to remember the Lord always. Just as you have all done. I love you all and just want to thank you for giving all of your children your time and devotion to raise us in this world today.
