We found a cool river/stream in our area so I decided to just take a couple pictures of it. ha ha I want to start off by saying, that this year is beginning pretty well! Our area is seeing some real progress! SO this past week we had a lot of fun and we had some cool things happen. First we went over to our Bishops house to play KanJam (a frisbee game my family sent me). We made dinner and I made some Reese's brownies my family had sent me. It was such a blast! My companion and I shared a spiritual message at the end, but I will talk about that later in my email.  We really enjoyed the Reese's! Especially Elder Eliason. :) On Friday I had the chance to go on an exchange with none other than my old companion Elder Bidi! It was quite a fun time! It was really great to talk about all the fun memories and experiences we had in Akatsi together! We gave a super cool lesson. We met a guy (I forgot his name) and asked if we could share a short message wi...

We worked hard this last week! 1-21-2019

Elder Eliason said, "Let's put on these glasses and take a funny picture to send home!" Oh man I am going to miss this goofy guy, ha ha! This last week we were waiting for transfer news to come because President told us my companion will be leaving but we didn't know where he was going to yet. SO we decided to really put in everything we had to this work this week to let him leave this area better than when he came.  Let us first start with a funny story. We were teaching a new man on Saturday named Vitchrisdel. While we were teaching him a man that we knew came up behind me and tapped me on the back. I looked back to see that man. We had met him a few times. I asked how he was doing and he looked at me and said, "Shh... I'm in disguise.." I was like "What...?" Then he said, "I am secretly rich. I am in disguise." I said okay so we will see you at church tomorrow right? He said, "I can't run from God, I will be ...

Well this week ended with a wonderful surprise. :) 1-14-2019

The baptism for Ritalord, Quinstar and Blessilia. :) I want to start off by saying this past week was awesome!!! First, we got to meet with a man named Samuel. He is living with a member from Nigeria and he decided to come and see the church for the first time two weeks ago. He said he loved it and would love it if we would come and teach him! So we did, on Wednesday, and let's just say it was amazing! HE was asking some of the coolest questions that were really inspired by the Spirit. We felt very prompted to give him a baptismal date and he accepted it! He was at church again and he is progressing very well! Honestly I am so happy for him!  Another great story, is from one of our members Sister Dorene. On New Years Eve our Bishop had a YSA party. She was invited to go with her friends to a different party. But she decided to go to Bishop's party instead. Well it turns out that her other friends disappeared and they don't know where they are. Well a...

Strawberry vanilla birthday cake! :) Sorry I know It's late for me to say Merry Christmas, ha ha. I didn't send an email last week because I wanted to put everything in one email. So I'll start with Christmas Eve! On Christmas Eve Ally and Devin Despain came and visited me! They took me and my companion out to lunch and we had a wonderful time. We just sat and talked and it was awesome! They brought me a suitcase of presents from my family and it was just awesome! :) It was really so good to see some old friends from home! :) Hanging out with Ally and Devin. Then on Christmas day we went to a few members houses who fed us some good old Ghanaian food! After that, we went to our Bishops house to have a small party and then I got to call home which was by far the best part! :) Man I love all of my family so much! I hope you all know that!  Christmas morning with presents, ha ha! :)  (He assured me that these are extra mattresses in the study ro...

Christmas Eve 12-24-2018

Mom's notes: 1. No letter this week because we got our wonderful phone call. He is doing well! I do have pictures that Ally and Devin Despain took. They visited with him on Christmas Eve and took him to lunch. They also brought him a suitcase full of gifts from us. 2. He sent a pretty sweet letter to Kamdon that I thought that I would share: You know Kamdon I want to give you a challenge. Tonight, before you fall asleep, say a little prayer on your own. I want you to ask Heavenly Father if you can feel a little bit of grandma's presence. How does that sound? I want to also tell you another thing. You know how we see Santa Claus on Christmas Eve and how he sets out all the presents? I want you to think of it as grandma bringing you gifts from heaven. I am sure mom will explain it a little better to you. But just know that grandma is there with you. She is protecting and guiding you. Those are blessings and we know blessings are gifts...
