Eleven months done!

Image
Some of the youth wanted a picture with my companion before he leaves. Well tomorrow officially marks eleven months that I have been on my mission! It has been such a wonderful experience! I absolutely love it here! I think I will let you guys know how transfers are going to go down this week! The area will remain open and I will be staying and I will receive a new companion. The only strange thing is that he will be going home in 3 weeks so I will only be with him for a short time. When he leaves, our mission president is going to call a temporary missionary from the ward who will live with me for 3 weeks. Which will be super cool! It's like I am training him early before his mission! SO I am honestly super excited!!! Dinner at the American ladies house again. :) She made snickerdoodles! Okay, a super cool thing happened. There is a family we are teaching and have been teaching for a long time. They are all so very interested in the church but they li...

A bit of a lazy week, ha ha!

Mom - I found this cute picture on Facebook. This sweet sister/family had Elder Baird over for dinner. I think it was the meal when he had Shepard's pie and ice cream. She sent me a friend request and this was on her page waiting for me. What kind and thoughtful members! :) My companion was really sick this past week so we were only able to go out for about two days. But I couldn't figure out what topic I should speak on. I was wanting to speak on a topic that would help the investigators that we were teaching. SO I naturally sat down and I said a prayer. Then I felt inspired to look through the Liahona and to look through the last general conference talks. While I was going through it I ...

Another baptism!

This is the kid I was able to baptize. His name is Ericson and he is 9 years old. After the baptism, and when we were all leaving he came and gave me a huge hug. He had the biggest smile on his face. Man, it was quite wonderful to experience that. :) We were finally able to have another baptism! This one was much deserved, ha ha! I'll start off by saying that this area is really difficult, ha ha. But we are making slow progress which is such a blessing. We have been teaching some new people who have been showing some real progress. First off we have Desmond. Man he has been stubborn, ha ha. Finally, he is now coming to church. Then we have Vanessa who is so stinking smart and she is so willing to learn. She came to an activity on Thursday, a wedding on Saturday, and then church on Sunday! This girl is amazing!  We were invited to attend a wedding in our ward. It was a very short and a simple one but it was also very spiritual. It was a super fun experience! Th...
