8 months down! Officially 1/3rd of the way done!

This is what happens when you let the youth take your camera, ha ha. Well today marks the day I hit the one-third mark of my mission! Honestly I cannot believe how fast it has gone! The time is going by too fast, ha ha! This past week was very interesting! We had a zone conference where Elder Nash (he is the Africa West Area president) came and instructed us on many things. One of the main topics was repentance. He really emphasized the importance of repentance in our lives and how we must always be repenting of our transgressions. He also talked about how obedience to mission rules will truly bless our lives and it can do so in so many ways. We need to not doubt the reasons that we have  been given the rules, but to follow them with faith and to know that they have been given to us for a good reason.  During lunch I had the chance to have a conversation with Elder and Sister Nash. Apparently they live in Centerville not far from my house! It's like a ...

Well this last week was pretty awesome!

I thought I would start off by sending you this picture because I know it will  make you happy!   Baptism in Dzodze/Akatsi. :) This last week was quite awesome, ha ha! Every return missionary shared some experiences and advice and then they asked us to do the same thing. It was really cool to be able to talk straight to another missionary who is just starting his mission. It made me remember when I was in his shoes preparing to leave and all the excitement and fears that came over me. That was almost eight months ago.  We decided to take ...

Well May flew by!

Some parts of my area. Man, May flew by! I don't know about you guys but it doesn't feel like it should be June yet, ha ha! This last week was a good one! It was interesting as well, ha ha. Tuesday we had our interview with President Keyes and it went really well. He talked to us a lot on how we should stay focused on the work and he emphasized that we should be out early in the morning and coming back late in the evening. He has a mission goal of 1,500 baptisms and it's appearing to be really difficult to achieve that goal because the missionaries don't think that it is possible. So President has been asking us to really dig deep within ourselves and make that goal a reality. He also gave us the talk that President Nelson gave in the last conference and asked us to really read it and study it. I did it and I have grown to love it even more. It makes me excited for what might be happening in the near future.  I have figured out how to solve the i...
